The Irish have fields reserved on Saturday, May 24 from Noon to 2:00 at Erickson Park. Contact your coach to see if your team will be having practice or scrimmages. The 16U Gold and 18U Gold will have practice. We have all 5 fields open.
All players that still have any money due should bring their final payments. Players should also make sure to sign the team roster and pick up their uniform if they haven’t already done so. All rosters need to be filled out before the season begins.
Fields are still available Sunday, May 25 from 5:30 - 7:30 if coaches want to schedule practice at that time instead. Please notify Tim Johnson if you do.

Tim Johnson has scheduled team meetings for Sunday, April 6 at the Rosemount Community Center. Agenda topics include information regarding rosters, tournaments, hotels, and showcase information. We will also take player photos and collect information to update the team websites. Players should bring their uniform for photos.
Any player that still owes money must complete their payments ($500 for summer season, $135 for uniform and helmet) in Room 214 prior to your team meeting. If you ordered a uniform, socks, or helmet you should come to Room 214 to pick up your order.

The Minnesota Gopher Metrodome Classic softball event is coming up. The event runs Thursday through Sunday at the Metrodome.
The current Gopher roster has 5 previous Irish alumni on it: Colleen Powers, Katie Dalen, Briana Hassett, Amber Nelson and Shannon Stemper.
Times for the Gophers are:
Feb 14 - 5:30 and 7:30pm
Feb 15 - 5:30pm
Feb 16 - 11:00am
Feb 17 - 11:00am
Come and watch. You’ll see some great ball being played.

Team meetings are scheduled for Sunday December, December 2nd at the Rosemount Community Center. Times vary from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. Emails have been sent to coaches with more details.
Agenda to include: Showcase information, Uniforms and fees, winter dome information, meeting with summer coaches and clothing/shoe orders will be taken.
A reminder to players that the Irish Dome is available on Saturday afternoons from 5 to 6pm (note that the meeting is at the Community Center).

A collection of Irish talent recently traveled to the Surf City Showcase tournament in California. The Irish performed well, coming home with a 4-3 record in the event. Several dozen college coaches from around the country were in attendance.

The 18U Irish Johnson and 16U Irish Southwest teams took first place in their respective one-day fall tournaments.
The Irish Johnson team won their semi-final game 3-2 against the Sting elite 18U squad. They followed that up with a 10-3 outburst in the championship game over the Minnesota Blizzard. continue reading »
